Energy Minister Noureddine Bouterfa, revealed that Algeria is presenting a bid for the supply of liquefied natural gas to Jordan to cover part of its needs.
Jordan News Agency, “Petra”, said that the high-level Jordanian delegation moved to Algeria earlier this year, to discuss ways of cooperation in the field of energy, where Algeria showed its willingness to supply Jordan quantities of gas. Meanwhile, a delegation of Sonatrach Company visited Jordan, after receiving a formal letter from the Jordanian Electric Power Company; saying that they need liquefied natural gas in the coming years. Sonatrach was able to submit its offer to provide the Jordanian company’s liquefied gas.
Petra said, “, the Algerian side can submit bids to the national electricity company additional quantities needed by the company, because the annual needs of the Kingdom of natural gas in excess 5 billion cubic meters.
